Notes on this site
My practice engages broader questions of the role and function of art and society through the contexts established by post-2008 ways of making and doing.
I find the ways that artists are expected to work on the internet and also market themselves as a persona on the internet to be constricting. I use Federated Wiki to do and share the dialectic of ideology and technology without having to overdetermine these activities with a fancy front end.
This is useful for my practice because I make art that implicates the traditional exhibition format, the nature of collaboration and cultural production, the representation of the self, the meaning of subjectivity, the subjection of identity, and the culture of work.
At first confusing, this site can be experienced much in the way of a traditional artist's portfolio.
